Jimmy Jeggo has left Hibernian to join Melbourne City on a permanent transfer.
The 31-year-old’s contract was due to expire this summer and has returned to Australia to join up with the A-League side.
During his year-long spell with Hibs, Jeggo made 45 appearances in all competitions.
Head coach Nick Montgomery said: “Firstly we’d like to thank Jimmy for all his efforts during his time with us. He was a model professional and played an important role for the club.
“After a few discussions with Jimmy, it was decided he would explore some interest he had in his homeland.
“When Melbourne City came in for him, it made sense for family reasons to let Jimmy pursue that opportunity. We wish him all the best for the future.”
