Hibs have made their first signings of the summer after agreeing deals for Drey Wright and Kevin Nisbet.
Winger Wright joins Jack Ross’ side after leaving St Johnstone, while the club has bought Nisbet from Dunfermline after he showed his rising talent in a prolific spell with the Pars.
Wright has signed a two-year deal at Easter Road, which kicks in on July 26, while Nisbet has agreed a four-year contract.
Hibs boss Jack Ross said: “We’ve identified key areas in the squad where we think it’s important to strengthen and the wider area is one of them. We have Daryl Horgan and Martin Boyle but there’s not much width beyond that, even with the younger players that are coming through.
“We wanted another option in that area, which allows us to be flexible in how we use Daryl and Martin. Drey’s quick, he’s direct and enjoyed a really good season with St Johnstone.
“He was one we’d identified a long time ago, so we’re pleased – despite everything that’s been going on in the world – that we’ve been able to get him in. He’s been good in training, settled in well with the group and I’m looking forward to seeing him in action properly.
“We’re delighted to have Kevin on board. It’s a position that we wanted to strengthen in and if you look at his profile, and where he is in his career, then I think it’s a really good fit for both parties.
“I’m excited by it. We were keen to get him in in January so we’re all pleased to get it over the line now.”
Nisbet scored 23 goals in 32 games for Dunfermline last season after an equally prolific spell at Raith Rovers the year before. The striker said he is eagerly anticipating Premiership football.
He said: “I’m proud to be a Hibernian player and I’m grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity.
“It’s a new challenge for me and I’m confident – with the help of the staff here – that I can continue to improve as a player and help the team.
“I’ve been working hard on my fitness during the break and I can’t wait to get going.”
