Hibernian produced a fine attacking performance as they recorded a 5-2 win over Inverness, becoming the first team to enter the last four of the Scottish Cup.
Goals from Adam Jackson, Scott Allan, Greg Docherty, Stephane Omeonga and Jamie Gullan sealed the win, as the Easter Road side sealed their place in the semi-final.
Paul Hanlon had a first half penalty stopped by Mark Ridgers before his centre-back partner Jackson scored a volley for the opener.
The second half saw Hibs extend their lead on the counter-attack, as Allan got on the end of Marc McNulty pass to double the lead.
The third came from a composed Docherty on 70 minutes after a fine passing move that saw the away side’s defence part with ease. However, a mere two minutes later Carl Tremarco drilled a deflected effort home to make it 3-1.
Brad McKay saw red for Inverness for a lunge on Christian Doidge before Omeonga arguably scored the pick of the bunch.
The Belgian received a Docherty cutback to side foot high into the net from the edge of the box.
Gullan netted his first senior goal for Jack Ross’ men to make it five, only for Inverness to grab a second consolation through Nikolay Todorov.
