Hibernian have signed Norwich City defender Rocky Bushiri on a six-month loan deal.
The 22-year-old Belgian joins Shaun Maloney’s men until the end of the season.
Since joining the English Premier League side in 2019 Bushiri, who has been capped for Belgium under-21s, has yet to make a first team appearance and spent last season on loan to Mechelen and Eupen in his home country.
He is the fourth player aged 22 and under to sign for Hibs during the January transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad for the last five months of the season.
Welcoming his new recruit Maloney, who worked as a coach for the Belgium national team before joining Hibs in October, said: “Rocky is a talented young player who will offer us real versatility in different defensive positions.
“Technically, he is very good in possession, and he shows good aggression and speed in defensive actions.
“Along with all the staff, I am really looking forward to working with him and helping him adapt to a new league and our style of play.”
Meanwhile Hibs have also turned down a £2m bid for winger Martin Boyle who has also been linked with a move to Celtic in recent weeks.
Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly are looking to the Australian international, who has scored 14 goals for the Premiership side.
