Motherwell are set for talks with three managerial targets as they look to replace Steven Hammell in the Fir Park dugout.
The former Steelmen stalwart was sacked last week after a poor run of results culminating in a defeat to Raith Rovers and exit from the Scottish Cup.
Former Crystal Palace and Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is in the running along with Jack Ross and Grant McCann.
Holloway’s last job was at Grimbsy in 2020 following a two year spell with QPR.
Ross started the season at Dundee United but left the role following heavy defeats to Az Alkmaar in a European qualifier and Celtic.
He has also had spells at Hibernian, Sunderland and St Mirren.
Former Northern Ireland international McCann has managed a string of English clubs including Peterborough United and Hull City.
Talks with all three will take place over the next 48 hours as Motherwell look to get the new man in as soon as possible.
Stuart Kettlewell was named caretaker manager after Hammell’s sacking and he helped guide the team to a victory over St Mirren on Wednesday.
