James Penrice has left the Hearts training camp in Spain for talks with AEK Athens over a move to Greece.
The 26-year-old left-back is in discussions with the Greek side over a transfer worth seven figures to the Tynecastle club.
Penrice joined Hearts from Livingston a year ago in a free transfer and was one of the standout players in an otherwise disappointing season for the Jambos.
He made 46 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals, in the 2024/25 campaign.
Hearts finished seventh in the Premiership following a turbulent season under three different managers.
He is now set for a move to the Greek Super League, where he will join fellow Scottish left-back Greg Taylor, who recently signed for PAOK.
AEK Athens, who finished fourth last season, are currently in the Netherlands for their pre-season training camp.
