John Hughes has been appointed as the new manager of Ross County.
Hughes succeeds Stuart Kettlewell, who was sacked following Saturday’s 2-0 Premiership defeat by Hamilton.
The 56-year-old is a hugely experienced figure in Scottish football having previously managed Falkirk, Hibernian, Livingston, Inverness and Raith Rovers.
Hughes will keep County’s current coaching staff on board as he sets about trying to keep the club in the top flight.County said: “John is a well-distinguished and well-known figure within the game and has very valuable experience in the Scottish Premiership.”📝CLUB NEWS

Ross County are now four points adrift of Hamilton at the bottom of the Premiership and have not won a match since September 19.
They have also scored just three goals in their last ten league matches.
Hughes’ first game in charge will be a trip to Celtic on Wednesday.
