Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic side for the crucial Champions League qualifier against Kairat Almaty.
The Scottish champions have made the 3,500-mile trip to Kazakhstan knowing they will need to win if they are to reach the glamour and riches of the League Phase of the elite competition, after drawing 0-0 in the first leg in Glasgow last week.
The Celtic boss has challenged his players to rise to the occasion and defeat a side that has yet to even concede a goal on home turf in qualification this season.
Ahead of the European test, Rodgers rested a number of first-team players for Saturday’s Premiership match against Livingston. Those who stepped in earned a 3-0 win that kept up the side’s 100% record in the league.
The manager has made a raft of changes for the Champions League tie, with familiar faces returning to the starting line-up.
Kasper Schmeichel starts in goal behind a back four of Kieran Tierney, Liam Scales, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Anthony Ralston.
Callum McGregor captains the side and is joined in midfield by Reo Hatate and Benjamin Nygren.
Daizen Maeda starts as striker and is flanked by wingers Yang and Benjamin Forrest.
