Kilmarnock have signed Scotland international Calvin Ramsay on loan from Liverpool for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has now joined the Rugby Park side until the summer as Derek McInnes bolsters his squad.

The move is the former Aberdeen right-back’s fourth loan-spell since leaving Pittodrie for Anfield in 2022.

He has made two first-team appearances for the English Premier League leaders.

He has previously had loan spells at Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers and Wigan.

Ramsay has one cap for Scotland after making his international debut in a 2-1 friendly defeat to Turkey in November 2022.

Kilmarnock, who currently sit ninth in the Premiership with 25 points from their first 23 games, confirmed the move on Monday.

Manager McInnes said: “When the opportunity came up to sign Calvin we jumped at it.

“I’d like to thank Liverpool for their cooperation once again on this deal.”

Ramsay made 33 first-team appearances for Aberdeen, including 24 in the league and six in Europe, in his last season in Scotland before moving south.

He made his debut for Liverpool in the Champions League after coming off the bench during a 2-0 win over Napoli.

His only other appearance was a win over Derby County in the League Cup.
