The draw for the League Cup semi-finals have taken place as the last four teams learn who their Hampden opponents will be.
The first piece of silverware of the season is on the line for the teams remaining after Tuesday and Wednesday’s quarter-final clashes.
Hearts were the first team to secure their place in the hat when they beat Kilmarnock at Rugby Park thanks to an injury-time goal from Alex Lowry.
Last season’s finalists Rangers booked their place in the draw with a 3-0 win over Livingston at Ibrox with Aberdeen beating Ross County 2-1 and Hibernian getting the better of St Mirren with a 4-2 win in Edinburgh.
A place in this season’s final is the prize for the two winners of the semi-finals that will take place at the national stadium on the weekend of Saturday November 4 and Sunday November 5.
Tournament favourites, and last season’s finalists, Rangers will play Hearts and Aberdeen were drawn against Hibernian.
That means there could be a potential Edinburgh Derby in the final if both Hearts and Hibs make it through.
The victors in the ties will return to Hampden for the final on December 17.
