RB Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco has joked that he will move out of his hotel and into the club academy to avoid the noise from Rangers fans.
Supporters of the Ibrox club have travelled to the German city for Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg match.
The teams go head to head hoping to take an advantage into next week’s second leg at Ibrox, with the winner progressing to play the final in Seville against West Ham or Eintracht Frankfurt.
Tedesco and his players are continuing their pre-match preparations and the manager was delighted to see that there would be a lively atmosphere for the last-four match, though he may avoid the supporters.
“First of all we are happy that a lot of Rangers fans will come to the city,” he said.
“They pay the hotels, pay the restaurants, they buy beer so it is good for the economy of Germany.
“Also, in my hotel, we are living in a really good hotel in the centre and they told me that 200 fans are coming to the hotel so I will sleep here in the academy in the next two days.
“No, but we are happy, playing at home with a good atmosphere is the best that can happen.”
“I am happy to play here and I am already happy to play at Ibrox so we have to collect these moments, that’s the most important thing in football, to collect moments and situations and we are very happy.”
