Celtic boss Neil Lennon has said he will be relaxed if the club don’t make any more signings as he is happy with his current squad.

Striker Patryk Klimala and midfielder Ismaila Soro have moved to Parkhead this month as Celtic gear up for the second half of the season where they will defend two domestic trophies as well as compete in Europe.

The club have also moved on a number of fringe players with Lewis Morgan, Jack Hendry and Eboue Kouasssi all going out on loan. Lennon feels that has his squad looking good for the challenges ahead.

“If we don’t do anything else, I’ll be happy,” he said. “We’ve got a great squad with a lot of quality in it and it’s a difficult window.

“I think we’ve got a couple of good players in and we’ve sort of streamlined the squad a little bit. Klimala will add firepower and pace to the attack, which is what we needed, and Soro will bring strength to the midfield. We’re definitely stronger.”

However, the manager didn’t rule out a purchase if an exceptinoal player became available, adding: “Nick Hammond is working diligently in the background to see if there’s anything out there. There are only four or five days left and it’s a difficult thing to do in January.”

Celtic face St Johnstone on Wednesday night having opened up the lead at the top of the Premiership last weekend when they won while Rangers lost to hearts. Lennon didn’t feel the shock result for their title rivals had made any impact on his players and said they will continue to focus on their own form.

“It’s a result that happens,” he said. “Things will twist and turn maybe as we go along.

“We are just concentrating on St Johnstone and looking forward to the game because we have played quite well since the turn of the year.

“I’ve not really detected any change in their emotions over the last couple of days. Our focus is on Wednesday. We have to concentrate on our own business and keep things nice and calm.”
