Livingston provided the first shock in the fourth round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Saturday, beating Ross County 3-2 to ensure their opponents’ grim recent run in the competition continues.

The Championship side twice led their Premiership hosts before finishing the job in extra-time.

Robbie Muirhead’s penalty gave Livi the lead just before the break and Cristian Montano restored it in the 62nd minute, although Noah Chilvers and Ronan Hale replied to set up an extra 30 minutes.

Andrew Shinnie netted right at the end to carry David Martindale’s team through and leave the Staggies without a win in the competition since 2019.

Makenzie Kirk’s early goal gave Premiership strugglers St Johnstone some respite and a 1-0 win over fellow top-flight team Motherwell.

Martin Boyle netted twice as Hibernian eased past West of Scotland Premier League leaders Clydebank, with Rudi Molotnikov scoring the other.

Duk’s brace and a Shayden Morris goal gave Aberdeen a 3-0 win at Elgin, who had Lyall Booth sent off with 13 minutes remaining.

Toyosi Olusanya’s first-half double carried St Mirren to a 3-1 victory at Queen of the South, with Brennan Dickenson (75) replying before Caolan Boyd-Munce wrapped it up for the visitors.

Jay Henderson’s hat-trick was the highlight of Ayr’s 8-0 win at Lowland League Broxburn, while Sam McGinty and Oli Shaw netted late on as Hamilton defeated East of Scotland League Musselburgh 3-1. Jamie Todd (49) levelled for the underdogs after Stephen Hendrie had opened the scoring.

Adam Emslie and Miles Gaffney netted in each half as Cove Rangers ousted Forfar 2-0, while Chris Hamilton, Ewan Otoo and Lewis McCann got Dunfermline’s goals in the 3-0 defeat of Stenhousemuir.

Lewis McGrattan, Gavin Gallagher, Chris Mochrie, Ben Wilson and Craig Watson eased Airdrieonians to a 5-1 win at Dumbarton, with Craig McGuffie’s late reply little consolation for the hosts.

Josh Scott’s goal eight minutes into added time gave Queen’s Park a 3-2 win over Montrose.

Jack Turner saw an early penalty saved by Montrose keeper Cammy Gill before Liam McLeish broke the deadlock just before half-time.

Blair Lyons’ double gave the visitors hope of an upset but Zak Rudden levelled in the 90th minute and Scott’s goal ensured the hosts progressed at Hampden.
