Livingston’s Premiership match against Ross County on Saturday has been postponed after a pitch inspection scheduled for Saturday morning.
Match officials looked at the artificial surface at the Tony Macaroni Arena at 9.30am, with an early decision taken to call off the game due to a frozen pitch.
The conditions have also caused postponements at other matches up and down the country.
Three Championship matches have fallen foul of the weather with Morton’s home game against league leaders Dundee United postponed, Ayr United v Arbroath and Dunfermline v Queen’s Park also called off due to frozen pitches and snow.
In League 1, the game between Stirling Albion and Montrose has also been postponed because of a frozen pitch, while snow has forced the early cancellation of Alloa’s match against Annan Athletic and Kelty Hearts’ game against Edinburgh City.
Falkirk’s home fixture against Cove Rangers was postponed after a 10am pitch inspection.
Elgin City’s home match against Clyde in League 2 was called off after an early pitch inspection found the pitch to be frozen, as was East Fife v Spartans, though Forfar v Stranraer has been given the go-ahead after the ground was checked on Saturday morning.
Further pitch inspections are planned, with a number of games up and down the country still under threat of postponement.
