SNS GroupLivingston goalkeeper Max Stryjek is to miss two games after accepting a violent conduct charge from the Scottish FA.
The player was served with a notice of complaint by the governing body after appearing to slap Aberdeen’s Vicente Besuijen during Livingston’s win at Pittodrie last weekend.
The club decided not to contest the charge, and Stryjek will now serve a two-match suspension. That will rule him out of the Premiership matches against Hibs and St Johnstone.
Livingston confirmed the decision in a brief statement on the club website on Tuesday morning.
It read: “The club can confirm that goalkeeper Max Stryjek has been served with a notice of complaint from the SFA following Saturday’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
“The club have accepted the offer of a two-match ban which Max will serve with immediate effect.”
Russian goalkeeper Ivan Konovalov, who joined the club in the January transfer window, is expected to step into Stryjek’s position on Saturday.
