PSV have included Malik Tillman in their Champions League play-off squad and he could feature against his old side Rangers at Ibrox on Tuesday.
The USA international spent last season on loan at Rangers from Bayern Munich and scored ten Premiership goals in 28 appearances before his season was cut short by injury.
Rangers had first option to buy the player at the end of the loan spell, only for Bayern to cancel the clause and then put the 21-year-old out to PSV on loan for this season.
Tillman has been on the bench for PSV’s first two Eredivisie games but has yet to make his competitive debut. However, manager Peter Bosz has included the attacking midfielder in the 22-man squad for the games against Rangers that will decide who makes the group stages of the elite competition.
New signing Sergino Dest has also been included after he completed a loan move from Barcelona.
Rangers face PSV at Ibrox on Tuesday and then travel to the Netherlands for the return leg next Wednesday.
The sides met at the same stage of Champions League qualification last season, with Rangers winning 3-2 on aggregate.
This year, the Ibrox side have seen off Servette to make the play-off, while PSV thumped Sturm Graz 4-2 in Eindhoven before winning the second leg 3-1 in Austria.
