Scott McTominay and Stuart Armstrong have both returned to the Scotland squad for the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Israel and Faroe Islands.
Victory in both games would see the national team take a significant step towards securing second place in the qualifying group and entering the play-offs to reach Qatar 2022.
Scotland play Israel at Hampden on October 9, then travel to play Faroe Islands three days later and Clarke has named the players he will be counting on to continue the momentum after beating Moldova and Austria in their last two games.
McTominay comes back in after missing the last international camp as he recovered from groin surgery, while Armstrong hasn’t played this season following a calf injury.
However, Clarke has had to select a squad without Greg Taylor after the left-back was ruled out for two months. His Celtic teammate Callum McGregor has missed recent club games but makes the squad and will be fit for the double-header.
Craig Gordon, Liam Kelly and Jon McLaughlin are the goalkeepers, while Liam Cooper, Grant Hanley, Jack Hendry and Scott McKenna are are the central defenders selected. Captain Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney, Nathan Patterson and Stephen O’Donnell are the available wing-backs.
Armstrong, Lewis Ferguson, Billy Gilmour, John McGinn, Kenny McLean,David Turnbull, McTominay and McGregor are midfield options, while Ryan Christie, Ryan Fraser, Che Adams, Kevin Nisbet and Lyndon Dykes are the players chosen up front.
