Rangers winger Mikey Moore insists they have what it takes to win their four remaining games and rescue their title hopes.

The Light Blues saw their William Hill Premiership destiny slip out of their hands thanks to a 3-2 home defeat by Motherwell on Sunday.

But they have the chance to pile on the pressure when they visit title rivals Hearts and Celtic in their next two matches.

Moore said: “Obviously, it was massively disappointing because we didn’t start the game well enough.

“We showed good character to come back and I genuinely thought we had a good chance of going on to win the game, but it obviously wasn’t meant to be.

“But now we need to bounce back from that and just show a real good mentality. We’re calm.

“But now we know that it’s all or nothing really, so we need to be at it from the very first minute.”

Moore admitted they need four wins but added: “I don’t think it’s an impossible task. If we show the best versions of ourselves, we have more than enough to win every game left.

“There’s only one focus. We’re not thinking about a negative side of it now, because you can’t dwell on it. So there’s full positivity in the group.”

Moore watched from the bench as dominant Motherwell went two up before he came on at half-time. The winger helped change the flow of the game as Rangers fought back before conceding a last-minute goal.

“I was struggling a little bit with a small injury,” said the 18-year-old. “But I think it’s just about managing my load.

“Obviously the manager made the decision that it would probably be best for me to not start. I think maybe it might have been the correct thing for me physically.

“From now on, I think I’m well enough to play as many minutes as possible.”

Moore was speaking after being named on the shortlist for the PFA Scotland SPFL Young Player of the Year award, after scoring six goals in 43 appearances since joining on loan from Tottenham.

With his parent club’s Premier League status under serious threat, there is uncertainty over where he will be playing next season but he is open to a return to Glasgow.

He said: “I want to keep playing games. I want to know that every week I’ve got a chance of playing.

“I’m not going to rush into playing somewhere higher than I can play, where I’m going to maybe sit on the bench and not get as many minutes. I want to keep building on what I’ve built this year.

“I’ve loved every second of my time here. And if it was the right thing for me and my career to stay here, then 100 per cent, I’d love it.

“But it’s not just down to me. I don’t just make the decision. We’ll have chats and wherever that will take me in the summer, it will hopefully be best for my career.”
