Niall McGinn has signed for Premiership strugglers Dundee after ten years at Aberdeen.
The Northern Ireland international was released by the Pittodrie club after failing to cement a place in Stephen Glass’s starting line-up.
The winger played 358 times for the Dons and scored 87 goals across two spells since signing from Celtic in 2012.
Other than a short spell in South Korea in 2017 he has been a mainstay in the Aberdeen team for the last decade.
He could make his Dundee debut on Wednesday in a bottom of the table clash against fellow strugglers St Johnstone.
Dundee are currently sitting at second bottom with only four wins to their name this season.
Bottom club St Johnstone are only two points behind the Dens Park club making Wednesday’s clash vital in the Premiership relegation run in.
Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass told his club’s website: “Niall has been an outstanding servant to the club.
“He is now at an important stage of his career where he wants the opportunity to play every week and, unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer him that at the moment.”
McGinn, who has 67 international caps, was part of the Dons side that lifted the Scottish League Cup in 2014.
