Nicolas Raskin admitted there is a long way to go for him despite an impressive performance in Rangers’ 1-1 Europa League draw with Olympiacos in Greece.
The 23-year-old Belgian midfielder has recently worked his way back into Philippe Clement’s plans after injury problems and helped the Light Blues edge the goalless first half in the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium.
Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side took the lead in the 56th minute through Moroccan forward Ayoub El Kaabi but Light Blues striker Cyriel Dessers levelled eight minutes later, having missed a couple of chances in the first half.
Raskin claimed he was “not really” pleased with his contribution then continued: “I had some difficulty getting into the game in the first half.
“I am still a bit tired because I have not played a lot and now I have played five games in a row. I feel it.
“Maybe I need to look at my warm-up, look at maybe making it harder so I get my second wind earlier but overall I am happy for the team, happy for Cyriel to score the goal. He is working so hard for the team.
“We wanted to win but to take one point is a good result.
“There is a long way to go.
“In the first half I was going too quick, I should have taken time with the ball.
“I am happy with the performance second half and happy with the team. It was a good night.”
