Partick Thistle season ticket holders will now be able to travel to their games for free as the club announce a deal with First Bus.
Supporters can use the service for free in the Glasgow area when the Championship club are playing at home.
With ten First Bus services operating within a short walking distance of Firhill Stadium it is hoped the initiative will encourage more fans to make use of public transport.
The partnership takes effect immediately and 2022/23 season ticket holders will be able to take advantage of this offer across all home fixtures during the season.
The Jags kick-off their league season at Firhill against Hamilton Accies on Saturday August 6.
Season ticket holders will receive a promo code ahead of each match, sent via email by the club.
This code offers 100% discount on a First Day Adult Ticket when redeemed at checkout on the First Bus App.
Any supporter under the age of 22 can already claim free travel in and around Glasgow, provided they possess a valid Young Scot card.
Gerry Britton, Partick Thistle Chief Executive, said: “We’re excited to launch this new partnership with First Bus Glasgow which will see season ticket holders benefit with a free and safe transport option to all home matches this season.
“Our supporters returned in their numbers last season, and it was fantastic to see them back at Firhill. By partnering with First Bus, we can give a sustainable transport option to fans who live in the Glasgow area to travel to matches and help create the iconic Firhill atmosphere each week.”
And Graeme MacFarlan, Commercial Director for First Bus Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to form a partnership with Partick Thistle which will bring free and sustainable travel options for Thistle supporters on matchday throughout the 22/23 season.
“First Bus has been a part of the community for many years in Glasgow and with Firhill situated within walking distance from a number of bus routes, we have a range of travel options available for Jags fans within the Glasgow area to attend matches.
“We are hopeful this initiative will further encourage people to choose public transport as their preferred method of travel, especially on matchdays at Firhill and we are delighted to show our commitment to that support.”
