Celtic midfielder Paulo Bernardo feels the mentality they showed in Bergamo can take them a long way in the Champions League.
Bernardo talked up the togetherness Celtic showed to battle to a goalless draw against Europa League winners Atalanta.
The 22-year-old admitted their 7-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund earlier this month was a reality check but the Scottish champions showed they could learn lessons.
Bernardo now wants to take the battling qualities into their next game, which is also against German opposition in RB Leipzig at Celtic Park on November 5.
The former Benfica player said: “The game that we played against Dortmund, we had a lot to learn.
“I think we did that and we had a great response. Our togetherness on the pitch showed that and we need to stick together every game like this.
“It was important against Dortmund to open our eyes to the reality of the Champions League.
“We needed to respond. The game against Dortmund was really hard for us. But we have to play every week and in midweek every time. We need to be prepared for these games and I think we did a great job.
“We need to focus on that and play each game like it’s a final for us. We need to show our mentality like we did this game.
“A point away is always good. Now we need to focus already on the next one.”
