Rangers’ Scottish Cup campaign could get off to a false start after Dumbarton announced a pitch inspection ahead of Saturday’s scheduled fourth-round tie.
An inspection will be held at Dumbarton Stadium at 1pm on Saturday ahead of the 5.30pm kick-off.
One fourth-round match has already been called off and other inspections are planned.
Brora Rangers’ home game against Cove Rangers will now be played on Tuesday after heavy snow put paid to the match going ahead on Saturday.
Inverness manager Duncan Ferguson joined fans in trying to clear snow off the Caledonian Stadium pitch on Friday and the park will be inspected at 10am on Saturday ahead of the visit of Broomhill.
The tie between Bonnyrigg Rose and Falkirk at Dudgeon Park is also the subject of a check on Saturday morning.
Forfar’s pitch has cleared of snow ahead of the visit of Hibernian and the club thanked supporters for the “Herculean effort” of those who turned up to clear the terracing on Friday.
Two league games are also subject to pitch inspections – the cinch Championship game between Dunfermline and Queen’s Park at East End Park and Hamilton’s visit to Stirling in League 1.
