Aberdeen defender Jack Milne has seen allegations of racist abuse made against him dropped following a Scottish Football Association disciplinary process.
The SFA revealed allegations that he had breached rules over discriminatory comments were “not proven” following an independent tribunal.
The centre-back faced accusations from Livingston forward Jeremy Bokila following a game in January in which both players were sent off following an off-the-ball incident.
An Aberdeen statement read: “Throughout this process, Jack has consistently and vehemently denied the allegation made against him, and the club has continued to support him during what has been a very difficult and distressing period for all involved.
“It goes without saying that Aberdeen FC condemns all forms of racism and discrimination unequivocally.
“The club now considers this matter closed and will make no further comment.”
Then Livingston manager David Martindale revealed after the game that DR Congo international Bokila, 37, had been in tears in the dressing room following his side’s 6-2 defeat.
Martindale’s successor, Marvin Bartley, later revealed that lawyers for the SFA had spoken to both players and clubs during the investigation.
Bartley, who resigned as Livi boss when their relegation was confirmed, said in February: “As a football club and as a manager, we’re there with him every step of the way. He has the full support of the club, the staff, the players.”
