Rangers have moved to sign Romanian attacker Ianis Hagi on loan, with the player expected to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.
Agreement has been reached with Belgian side Genk to sign Hagi on loan until the end of the season, with an option for Rangers to make the deal permanent.
Hagi, the son of Romanian star Gheorghe Hagi, began his career with Viitorul Constanta before a move to Fiorentina in 2016.; He failed to make a mark during his two years in Italy and returned to Constanta where he again impressed.
Genk signed the number ten on a five-year deal in July 2019 but, despite the player scoring three and setting up four goals in 14 league games, he is being allowed to discuss a move to Rangers.
Steven Gerrard has not added to his squad at Ibrox so far in the transfer window but several players have been put out on loan while Eros Grezda and Andy King have left the club permanently.
