Rangers are finalising a three-year contract for Hearts head coach Derek McInnes, while Danny Rohl has agreed a deal with Salzburg, STV Sport understands.
McInnes is poised to take the reigns at Ibrox – having led Hearts to second in the Scottish Premiership last year.
The Tynecastle side will receive £400,000 compensation.
Meanwhile, Rohl is heading to Austria – Rangers are to receive around £ 1.5m in compensation as he departs after less than a year in the hotseat.
The Ibrox higher-ups had identified former player McInnes as the candidate to replace the German coach, who was hired in October.
McInnes will be reunited ex-Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland at Ibrox after the talismanic striker arrived in Glasgow for free.
