Rangers have defeated Dundee United to take all three points from Tannadice.
Philippe Clement’s men got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory in the final game Premiership of the weekend on Sunday.
Tom Lawrence gave the visitors a half-time lead after finishing off a good run through the defence with a tidy finish in the opening stages.
Rangers started off on the front foot and Cyriel Dessers had an early penalty claim waved away after taking a tumble in the box.
And the Nigerian forward was involved again when the away side took the lead just a minute later.
He played in Lawrence, who still had work to do, before going past two defenders and dinking it over Jack Walton to make it 1-0 on the 7th minute.
The referee had the book out midway through the first half when he yellow carded James Tavernier and Kristijan Trapanovski for an off the ball incident.
Rangers continued to push forward with Kieron Dowell and Oscar Cortes both coming close to doubling the lead but their efforts were well saved by Walton.
United then started to grow into the game and they had a good ten-minute period of possession towards the end of the half but failed to put any pressure on Jack Butland.
Declan Gallagher and Emmanuel Adegboyega were both booked towards the end of the half with the latter avoiding a red-card after a VAR check when the referee decided to stick to his original decision.
New signing Nedrim Bajrami was introduced to the action to make his debut in the second-half after replacing Cortes at the break.
Lawrence had the first chance after the restart as he looked to double the lead but his curling effort was straight into Walton’s arms.
Goodwin’s men started to push for an equaliser and Trapanovski came close after cutting inside from the right but his shot was deflected wide of the post for a corner.
The Macedonian was involved again when United broke forward and he jinked his way into the box before John Souttar got back in time to clear the danger.
They continued to look dangerous and the ball fell to Jort van der Sande in the box on the hour-mark but he lacked the support and the Rangers defence dealt with the situation comfortably.
Clement brought Hamza Igamane on for Dessers shortly after as he looked to regain their foot-hold of the game.
Lawrence came close to his second of the match on the 66th minute when he curled an ambitious effort just wide of the post.
United then nearly had their leveller when Ross Graham connected with Will Ferry’s corner but the header failed to hit the target.
Walton was called into action up the other end just moments later when Igamane put the through ball into Lawrence’s path and he was denied by the goalkeeper.
Ross Docherty had a volley fly just wide of Butland’s post as the game entered the last ten minutes.
Rangers held on to their one-goal advantage to secure all three-points.
