Rangers have held talks with Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland over a potential summer move to Ibrox.

The 30-year-old, who has nine England caps and was in goals for Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, is currently on loan at Manchester United.

His Palace contract expires in the summer and Michael Beale is keen to bring him as a replacement for outgoing veteran Allan McGregor.

Norwich midfielder Kieran Dowell is also a summer target for the Ibrox club.

The 25-year-old former England Under-21 international has made 24 first team appearances for the Carrow Road club this season.

Beale has previously indicated that he would be looking to bring in around five new recruits this summer and is “not far away” from securing his top targets.

Butland is yet to play for Manchester United this season after being brought in as back up to David De Gea at Old Trafford.

He made his name during a seven-year spell at Stoke City between 2013 and 2020.
