Rangers are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a season-long loan deal for teenage attacker Mikey Moore.

The 17-year-old has made 21 first-team appearances for the London club since making his debut at 16 in 2024, when he became the youngest ever player to play for Spurs in the English Premier League.

Moore, who can play on either wing or through the middle, was part of the squad that won the Europa League last season, making five appearances in the competition and scoring his first senior goal against Swedish side Elfsborg.

He has represented England at under-15, under-16, under-17, and under-19 levels, scoring a total of 21 goals in 39 caps, including four in four games at the under-17 European championships in Greece last summer.

Rangers are now hoping to add him to Russell Martin’s squad for the duration of the 2025/26 campaign.

Moore would be the eighth new face moving to Ibrox this summer and former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam says he would be an exciting signing.

“He’s a young player who has burst on to the scene at Tottenham, can score a goal and is a talented player,” Adam told STV. “He’s coming from a big club but it’s a big loan move for his first opportunity to come and play.

“He’s a player I think Tottenham really like and he’s come through the England set-up.

“He’ll have an opportunity to come in and help the team and help the group.”

The Ibrox side are preparing to travel to Athens for the second leg of their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday, following a 2-0 victory in Glasgow last week.

They will then get their Premiership campaign underway against Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday.
