Rangers have had an initial bid for Feyenoord striker Danilo rejected but remain in discussions with the Dutch club over a transfer.
The 24-year-old forward has emerged as a signing target as Michael Beale continues his rebuild of the squad at Ibrox and Rangers are still keen on the player after seeing their first bid rejected.
Danilo played 34 times in the Eredivisie last season, scoring ten goals and registering three assists. Beale believes he can help strengthen the Rangers attack after the departure of Alfredo Morelos.
The Brazilian played youth football for a number of clubs in his homeland but was brought over to Amsterdam by Ajax in 2017.
After playing for Jong Ajax and spending time with the first team, he went out to Vitesse on loan and after a successful spell with the Arnhem side he moved to Feyenoord last year.
Rangers are also moving closer to a deal for Brighton’s Abdallah Sima as talks continue with the Premier League side.
The Senegal international has failed to make an impression on the first team with the Seagulls but could be part of Beale’s side as he prepares for next season.
