Rangers have reached the last 16 of the Europa League after beating Borussia Dortmund 6-4 on aggregate in the play-off round.
With a 4-2 lead from the first leg in Germany to defend, Rangers came back from 2-1 down to draw 2-2 at Ibrox and claim a major scalp as well as ensuring progress in the competition.
Rangers captain James Tavernier put his side ahead from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute but the lead was short-lived as Jude Bellingham equalised just after the half hour mark.
Dortmund then struck again just before the break, with Donyell Malen finishing from close range to put the German side ahead on the night and needing another goal to draw level on aggregate.
The second half saw Rangers draw level, when Tavernier pounced to make it 2-2.
Rangers had a goal disallowed through VAR, with Ryan Kent’s goal ruled out after referee Antonio Lopez controversially ruled that Alfredo Morelos had fouled Mats Hummels in the build-up.
Dortmund pushed to get the goals they needed but Rangers held firm and saw off their highly-rated opposition.
The Ibrox side will face a seeded team in Friday’s draw. They could be paired with Crvena Zvezda, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Bayer Leverkusen, Lyon, Monaco, Spartak Moscow or West Ham.
