Rangers will face a trip to the Czech Republic or Switzerland in the next round of qualifying for the Champions League, should they get past Panathinaikos.
The draws for the third qualifying rounds of all three European competitions are taking place on Monday and are dependent on how the teams fare in their second round ties.
If Rangers get past the Greek side, then the next hurdle in their quest to reach the League Phase will be the winners of the Viktoria Plzen v Servette tie.
Viktoria Plzen are Czech, and Servette are based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Russell Martin’s side get their competitive season underway on Tuesday when they host Panathinaikos at Ibrox in the second qualifying round.
If they lose that tie then they will drop into the Europa League, where they will face either Besiktas or Shakhtar Donetsk.
Hibs were also in the Europa League draw and if they can get past Danish side FC Midtjylland they will take on Fredrikstad from Norway.
The Conference League draw will take place next with both Hibs and Dundee United in that one.
