Rangers player Glen Kamara's lawyer Aamer Anwar dismisses Giovanni van Bronckhorst bust up claims

Glen Kamara has denied claims that he was involved in a bust up with Giovanni van Bronckhorst as “pure speculation or falsehood”.

The midfielder’s lawyer Aamer Anwar took to social media to respond to reports that the Rangers pair were involved in a “furious disagreement” at half time of their draw with St Mirren on Saturday.

A penalty from James Tavernier rescued a 1-1 draw in Paisley as they fell even further behind Celtic in the Premiership as the Finland international was hooked after 45 minutes.

Following the game, it was claimed that the substitution decision led to an argument in the dressing room between the player and manager.

Replying to an article in the Daily Record, Anwar said: “Glen Kamara is the utmost professional and has always respected the decisions the manager makes- his position is that there was absolutely no disagreement & any attempt to say there was, is based on pure speculation or falsehood.”

The Ibrox club are now nine points adrift of their city rivals as the Premiership shuts down for a month during the World Cup in Qatar.
