Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson will undergo a medical at Premier League club Everton on Tuesday ahead of a £12m move.
The Ibrox club are set to break their transfer record received for a player, with a cash plus add-ons deal close to being agreed.
Everton tried to sign the 20-year old in the summer but are now confident of landing Patterson in this January window.
Patterson has found himself behind captain James Tavernier under both Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The right-back has made 27 appearances for the Ibrox club, scoring twice. He also has six caps for Scotland and netted his first International goal against Moldova in November.
Rangers current record transfer fee received for a players was in 2008 when Alan Hutton was sold to Tottenham for around £9m.
