Rangers’ summer squad rebuild has continued with the signing of centre-back Nasser Djiga.
The Wolves player has moved to Ibrox on a season-long loan and becomes the latest addition to head coach Russell Martin’s new-look squad.
Djiga becomes Rangers’ sixth signing of the summer, following Lyall Cameron, Max Aarons, Joe Rothwell, Emmanuel Fernandez and Thelo Aasgaard in making the move to Glasgow.
The defender already has experience of playing in four European leagues at the age of just 22, having moved from Vitesse in Burkina Faso to Basel in 2024 and playing for Nimes on loan before a spell at Red Star Belgrade and then moving to Wolves at the end of the January transfer window.
He will now be part of the Rangers squad as the team looks to progress in Europe and challenge for domestic honours.
“I am very happy to join Rangers, it is one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and in Europe,” the Burkina Faso international told Rangers website.
“I will try to give everything, to play every game and I think it is the best team for me. I just want to play and enjoy football with the team.”
Head coach Russell Martin said: “Nasser is someone who, despite still only being 22, has garnered valuable experience in both the UEFA Champions League and Premier League.
“We believe he has all the attributes required to thrive here at Rangers in the upcoming campaign and I am looking forward to working with him.”
