Russell Martin and David Gray have named their Rangers and Hibs sides for the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final, with Nicolas Raskin returning to the Rangers line-up.
Belgium international Raskin has been left out repeatedly by Martin despite being a major figure in the Rangers team last season. The head coach had denied a breakdown in relationship but said Raskin needed to win back the trust of staff and players before coming back to the side.
He’s now been brought back for a match that some see as a ‘must-win’ for Martin.
The Rangers boss is under pressure after just three wins from 12 games so far, and fans have called for his sacking.
Ahead of the game, he had shrugged off planned protests outside Ibrox and said that he believes he can turn things around and have a successful season, starting with a win over Hibs.
Rangers start with Jack Butland in goal and a back four of Jayden Meghoma, Derek Cornelius, John Souttar and James Tavernier.
Raskin and Mohamed Diomande anchor the midfield, while Thelo Aasgaard, Djeidi Gassama and Mikey Moore play behind striker Bojan Miovski.
Gray has made four changes to the Hibs side that drew 3-03 with Dundee United last week.
Hibernian have Raphael Sallinger in goal and a back line of Jordan Obita, Grant Hanley, Rocky Bushiri, Josh Mulligan and Nicky Cadden.
Josh Mulligan, Miguel Chaiwa and Jaimie McGrath are midfield with Martin Boyle in support of striker Kieron Bowie.
