Rangers women have appointed former England international Jo Potter as the the club’s new head coach.
The 38-year-old, capped 35 times for the Lionesses, was previously assistant manager at Women’s Super League side Birmingham City and replaces Malky Thomson after his return to a role within the men’s academy.
Potter represented the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Leicester City and Reading during her playing career and lifted the FA Cup with Birmingham in 2012.
She also appeared at two major tournaments as an England player.
“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to work for this prestigious football club,” Potter told the club’s website.
“I feel aligned with the club’s ambitions and standards to continually grow and move forward, especially in such a powerful time within women’s football. I can’t wait to get started.
