Crvena Zvezda v Celtic team news: Rodgers names side for Europa League clash

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic side to face Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) in the team’s opening Europa League match in Belgrade.

The Scottish champions have travelled hoping for a positive start to their League Phase campaign and Rogers has named a strong side for the first test.

Kasper Schmiechel starts in goals behind a back four of Kieran Tierney, Liam Scales, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Colby Donovan.

Reo Hatate, Benjamin Nygren and captain Callum McGregor are in midfield, with Sebastian Tounekti and Yang either side of striker Daizen Maeda.
