Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent has settled his future after signing a long-term deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Kent left Ibrox last month at the end of his contract, with Rangers saying he hadn’t been offered a deal to remain with Michael Beale’s squad.

That ended a five-year stay in Glasgow, with the player free to choose his next club.

He’s opted to sign for Fenerbahce, who have agreed a four-year deal with the 26-year-old, subject to medical.

Kent had impressed on loan from Liverpool in the 2018-19 season, prompting Rangers to spend a reported £7m to take the winger to Ibrox on a permanent deal. He played a major part in the club’s title win in 2021 but did not hit the heights Ranger shad hoped for and it was decided that he would not remain beyond this summer as Beale looks to revamp his squad.

Speaking on a video for Fenerbahce’s social media channels, Kent said: “Hello Fenerbahce fans. This is Ryan Kent.

“Firstly I would like to congratulate everybody associated with the club for winning the cup.

It’s an honour to be joining Fenerbahce. After speaking to the club I am aware of the visions and targets for next season and I look forward to helping my team achieve those goals, starting with the Super Cup next month.

“I am excited to start pre-season, meet my team-mates and you fans. Take care.”
