Scotland will take on Iceland and Lithuania in end-of-season friendlies this June, the SFA has confirmed.

The national team has lined up the challenge matches for Steve Clarke’s side in the June international break, completing the side’s fixture list for the year ahead.

Iceland will be the first opponents in the double-header, with the match taking place at Hampden Park on Friday, June 6 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

That’s followed by a trip to take on Liechtenstein in Vaduz on Monday, June 9 at 6pm.

The fixtures will bridge the gap between competitive fixtures for Clarke and his players. They will serve as preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers which begin later in the year.

First up for the team in 2025 is the Nations League play-off against Greece, with Scotland looking to keep their place in the top-tier of the competition. The first leg is in Athens on March 19, with the return leg in Glasgow three days later.

Greece are also among the national team’s opponents in the World Cup qualifiers, with Scotland also drawn to face Belarus and the loser of the Nations League quarter-final between Portugal and Denmark.

Those qualifiers will take place across three double-headers that will be played in September, October and November.
