Scotland will have two places in the Champions League next season after securing a top 15 finish in Uefa’s coefficient rankings.
It means the top two clubs in the Scottish Premiership at the end of the campaign will qualify for the competition.
Rangers’ Europa League exit, following a 4-1 aggregate defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, means Scotland cannot finish higher than their current position of 14th.
However, as Greek side Olympiakos were knocked out of the competition by Wolves, only Switzerland can jump Scotland in the table.
Basel, the remaining Swiss side in the Europa League, have reached the last eight and face Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
Both Scottish sides would enter the qualifying rounds of the Champions League.
The ranking will see the 2020-21 Scottish Cup winners secure a spot in the Europa League third qualifying round.
The clubs which finish third and fourth in the Premiership will enter the second qualifying round of the new Europa Conference League.
