Scotland star Huw Jones insists that Scotland must look to build momentum in their quest for Six Nations glory as they prepare to take on Wales in the tournament opener.
The Glasgow Warriors full-back says it is “so important” for Gregor Townsend’s men to get off to a good start in Cardiff.
The sides meet at the Millenium Stadium on Saturday.
Ahead of the game Jones said: “It’s obviously been a few years since we’ve won down there. So I think off the bat that’ll be a huge confidence booster. But like you said, building momentum in this tournament is so important.
“We want to win every game. And yeah, winning our first game, especially away from home, would be the perfect start for us. We’ve done it with England, beat France away.
“I guess, there’s a few things that we’ve done over the last few seasons to change those records. So yeah, it’s not a huge talking point, but having done it a couple of times, it makes it sort of less daunting, I guess.”
