Scotland star Scott McTominay is to undergo a minor heart procedure, Napoli have said.
The Scotland star will have corrective treatment using a cardiac arrhythmia ablation after “a mild benign arrhythmia” was discovered, according to the Serie A side.
The 29-year-old was taken off during a game against Como on Sunday and will undergo the procedure in the coming days.
The club expect the midfielder to be available to play again after the international break early next month.
It means McTominay is likely to miss Scotland’s Nations League games against Slovenia, North Macedonia and Switzerland in October.
