Scott Wright is close to departing Rangers after the club agreed a fee with Turkish Super Lig side Pendikspor.

The forward is set to leave Ibrox after two and a half seasons, after Rangers agreed a fee of £500,000 for his transfer to the newly promoted Istanbul side.

It is understood the winger will now fly over to Turkey in the next 24 hours to meet officials as the clubs hope to conclude the deal.

Wright, 25, moved to Ibrox from Aberdeen in January 2021 for £175,000 after originally signing a pre-contract agreement.

The forward has made 51 appearances for the Glasgow side, scoring five goals – including Rangers’ second in their 2–0 victory over Hearts in the 2022 Scottish Cup Final.

It will be the second departure at Ibrox in a week – after striker Antonio Colak left the club to join Serie B side Parma.
