The SPFL have released the Premiership fixture-list for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
The opening six games will take place on the weekend of August 5 with the season running until the end of May when the trophies will be handed out.
Last year’s champions Celtic will welcome Ross County to Parkhead on the first day of the season as they hoist the league flag over the stadium for the second year running.
But with their championship winning manager Ange Postecoglou leaving for Tottenham after securing a treble, old favourite Brendan Rodgers will be looking to continue where he left off, when he won seven trophies out of seven during a two and a half year spell between 2016 and 2019, against the Highlanders.
City rivals Rangers will begin their campaign against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park as Michael Beale’s men look to continue the kind of form they showed at the end of last season when they won five of their last six games, including a 3-0 win over Celtic at Ibrox.
Elsewhere in opening day fixtures last season’s third placed side Aberdeen will open their campaign against Livingston at Almondvale as newly promoted Dundee play Motherwell at Dens Park in their return to the top flight, St Johnstone take on Hearts in Perth and Hibs host St Mirren.
With the Hoops winning four out of the six derbies on their way to a clean sweep last season, the Old Firm games are bound to be as important as ever in shaping the season, with first one taking place at Ibrox on Sunday, September 3.
The second will be played at Celtic Park on December 30 with the third coming back to Ibrox on April 6.
The first Edinburgh derby of the season will be played at Tynecastle on Saturday, October 7, the second will take place at Easter Road on December 27 and the third back at Hearts on February 28.
In the second tier, Dundee United will kick-off their Championship campaign away to Arbroath as Dunfermline host Airdrie, Ayr United travel to Morton, Inverness play Queen’s Park and Partick Thistle take on Raith Rovers at Firhill.
