St Mirren and Kilmarnock have learned who they will play in the Conference League play-off, if they win their third round ties.
Kilmarnock will take on FC Copenhagen or Banik Ostrava if they can get past Tromso, while the winner of St Mirren’s tie against Brann will face CS Corvinul 1921 Hunedoara or Astana.
St Mirren came through the second qualifying round of the competition with a 4-1 win over Icelandic side Valur and face Norwegians Brann Bergen over the next two weeks as they push for a play-off place.
Lying in wait will either be Romanian side Corvinul, who play in the second division but reached Europe as surprise winners of the Romanian Cup last season, or Kazakh side Astana, who were runners up in their league.
Kilmarnock dropped down to the Conference League after a narrow 3-2 aggregate defeat to Cercle Brugge in Europa League qualifying. The Ayrshire side also face Norwegian opposition in the third qualifying round, with Tromso standing between them and the next round.
The prize on offer for the winners is a play-off against FC Copenhagen, third in the Danish league last year but ranked as the 34th best team in Europe according to the co-efficient, or Banik Ostrava, who reached Europe by finishing fourth in the Czech top flight.
Play-off ties are scheduled to be played on August 22 and 29. St Mirren have been drawn to be at home first, with Kilmarnock away for the first leg.
