Ross County manager Don Cowie is taking little from the fact St Johnstone have their two top goalscorers suspended – because he knows from past experience how dangerous Nicky Clark can be.
Benji Kimpioka and Adama Sidibeh are both out of Saturday’s William Hill Premiership clash in Dingwall following recent red cards.
The pair have 11 goals between them this season and have scored all four of the Perth side’s league goals.
But Cowie is wary of Makenzie Kirk, whose father Andy will pick the team following the sacking of Craig Levein, and Clark.
The 33-year-old had an injury-hit season last time out but he netted seven goals against County in his final two seasons with Dundee United.
Cowie said: “It’s well documented they are going to be missing their two main strikers who are suspended, who have been a real handful and threat for St Johnstone.
“But we can’t take them lightly, they still have good options in the forward area in Nicky Clark and Makenzie Kirk, a young player who has made an impact.
“We know at this football club what Nicky Clark is capable of, we have been on the receiving end many times of how clinical he can be.”
