St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson believes fans will be excited by his latest signing – but they will have to be patient.
Saints have secured Cork City winger Malik Dijksteel on a pre-contract agreement which will see him arrive in Paisley in January, when his contract with the League of Ireland side expires.
The 24-year-old Dutchman was previously on the books of Feyenoord and Middlesbrough but has kick-started his career in Ireland, where he has scored five goals in 41 appearances.
Robinson told his club’s website: “Malik is a player that we have kept tabs on over the last six months.
“He’s a real bright spark in the final third. He’s quick, direct, takes players on and I think the fans will really take to him given how exciting he is.”
