Ross County have completed the signing of Eamonn Brophy on loan from St Mirren for the remainder of the season.
The striker has moved north in search of regular first team football and will add to County manager Malky Mackay’s options in attack.
Former Hamilton and Kilmarnock player Brophy has been a regular top flight goalscorer in the past but found himself behind Curtis Main, Jonah Ayunga and Alex Grieve when fighting for a place in Stephen Robinson’s team.
County manager Mackay said: “It’s great to bring somebody with Eamonn’s experience to Dingwall. He will be a big asset for us in the second half of the campaign and we know that he can add something different to our group.”
“Eamonn is proven at this level and has consistently performed in the Premiership for several years which has also seen him recognised at international level and we are delighted to have him here for the remainder of the campaign. Eamonn is also a player I got to know well through his youth caps with Scotland, so I know the qualities he has.”
“I would like to thank Stephen Robinson and Keith Lasley at St Mirren for working with us to make this move happen.”
Meanwhile, St Mirren have announced that defender Marcus Fraser has signed a two-year contract extension with the club, committing him to the Paisley side until the summer of 2025.
