STV will show live games from the next two World Cups being held in 2026 and 2030.
Broadcasters announced on Tuesday that a deal had been agreed to cover matches at the tournaments.
Scotland are hoping to be at the event held across North America in 18 months after being drawn in a group with Greece, Belarus and the defeated side in the Nations League quarter-final between Portugal and Denmark.
Fee-to-air coverage of live fixtures will be delivered across STV and STV Player.
Following the deal between ITV and BBC Sport, the BBC will provide live coverage and highlights across its TV channels and iPlayer, as well as live audio commentary on Radio 5 Live, 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds.
Bobby Hain, Managing Director of Broadcast at STV, said: “For a nation of football fans like Scotland, it doesn’t get any bigger than the World Cup, so we’re delighted to be bringing matches from the next two tournaments to viewers in Scotland free-to-air on STV and STV Player.”
The 2026 tournament will take place in the USA, Mexico and Canada with the final being held at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
Games will also take place in states including Texas, Florida, California and Georgia as well as Mexico City, Guadalajara and Toronto.
In 2030, which will be the 100th anniversary of the first ever World Cup, games will be held across three continents with a total of six countries.
Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay were announced as joint hosts earlier this month.
Scotland haven’t reached a World Cup since 1998 when it was held in France.
They will need to win their four-team qualifying group to participate in the next one.
